The Settings/General Menu
The main settings to fill in are shown in Red in the image below.
The Site Title is what you want to name your website . . . It can be different than your www domain name.
The Tagline is a little spiel . . . a few words about what you are or do.
For images in the header containing words and unwanted taglines . . . delete the standard install entries . . . leave them blank.
WordPress Address & Site Address Urls . . . . your www.domain name.com
For beginners, I would untick the box “anyone can register“.
The very least . . . if ticked is have the New User Default Role setting left as “Subscriber” until you learn about User Roles
