The menu area is where you have the ability to create ‘custom menus’ for use across the page if your theme has a menu bar there, or extra menus on a sidebar.

The custom menus give you the ability to shift items to your order and make them open up in a drop menu under one of your main menu items.

If the page name is long you can also have a shortened version on the menu bar.

Ordering is by first creating a ‘custom menu’ naming it and then ticking the pages links in the middle section and ticking ‘add to menu’. After they appear on the right hand side drag and drop until you are satisfied with their order and ‘save menu’

To create an item underneath another – drag it until it is slightly indented in the right hand side list underneath the item where you want it to appear and again save the menu.
